Northwest Tip: David Lynch in Seattle

In kicking off the Northwest premiere for his first feature in 5 years - Inland Empire, David Lynch will be making four appearances in Seattle. First, a reading and lecture from his book, Catching the Big Fish at Town Hall, on Tuesday, January 16th. On Wednesday the 17th, he drops by the mighty Scarecrow Video (between noon and 2pm) for a DVD signing of newly-released short films compilation DYNAMIC 01: THE BEST OF DAVIDLYNCH.COM, then off to The Cinerama theater at 7:30pm for a screening and Q & A session for Inland Empire. He will also be on hand to introduce a midnight screening.
Reviews for Lynch’s latest have ranged between “Dark as pitch, as noir, as hate, by turns beautiful and ugly, funny and horrifying” (New York Times), and “a three-hour, shot-on-video head-trip experiment in how to leave an audience baffled to the point of numbness” (Entertainment Weekly). Tickets for the director hosted screening of Inland Empire are available for purchase at Scarecrow, and as they say, are going fast. Update: 7:30 w/Q&A is sold out. Check with Scarecrow on availability for the midnight screening (intro by Lynch, no Q&A).
